Taking care of your knitwear is not only good for you because your pieces last longer, but is thought to significantly reduce the carbon and water footprint of each piece.

SUSTAINABLE CARE
Knitwear yarn is created by twisting fibres together. This process, as well as normal wear, will naturally cause fibres to break and knot together resulting in pilling or fuzz.
Using a pilling comb combined with following the care instructions below, will extend the life of your knitted garments.

WASHING & AIRING
Consider airing your knitwear garment whenever possible, rather than washing it.
Please do not wash your knitwear in the washing machine, including on the handwash or delicate cycle. These cycles agitate the garment and often cause shrinkage.
Knitwear should only be washed by using the following steps or by dry-cleaning.

Gently cold hand wash your garment inside out with eco-friendly detergent.
Squeeze excess water. Do not wring or spin dry.
Carefully pull your garment back into shape and dry flat in the shade, not direct sunshine as this will shrink your knit.

STORAGE
To avoid stretching, gently fold and store flat in drawers or on a shelf. Do not hang.
