The Valter Shirt Dress combines beautiful movement with a striking, all-over abstract print. Based on one of our bestselling styles this mid-length design features an extended shoulder and concealed button placket with a flattering V-shaped neckline. The hero design feature is across the back where fine pleats are stitched down and run from shoulder to shoulder creating volume and drama. The shirt style dress flows out to an A-line silhouette with handy side pockets and comes with a rouleau belt so you can tie it in for a more defined silhouette. A fantastic dress for all occasions, dress it up with a smart sandal or take a casual approach with a simple, white sneaker.

Material

54% ECOVERO™ Viscose 46% Viscose Rayon

This smooth, floaty fabric has a matte finish that gives it the perfect versatility to dress up or down. Colours and prints have a vibrant finish, while the lightweight nature of the fabric provides comfort and drape.

LENZING™ ECOVERO™ Viscose fibres are derived from sustainable wood and pulp, coming from certified and controlled sources.

LENZING™ ECOVERO™ fibres have been certified with the EU Ecolabel for textile products (license no. AT/016/001) as meeting high environmental standards throughout their life cycle: from raw material extraction to production, distribution and disposal. The manufacturing of LENZING™ ECOVERO™ branded viscose fibres generates up to 50% lower emissions and water impact compared to generic viscose. According to Higg MSI™ tools, CO2 emissions and fossil resource use are approximately half that of the industry average.

A special manufacturing system enables LENZING™ ECOVERO™ branded viscose fibres to be identified in the final product, even after long textile processing and conversion steps through the value chain.

We are working with not-for-profit organisation Canopy to ensure that all our forest-based fabrics are responsibly sourced from sustainable forestry and preference those with a green shirt ranking according to the most current CanopyStyle Hot Button Report. Our partnership with Canopy includes a commitment to ensure all of our viscose products have not been sourced from ancient and endangered forests. Our traceability systems confirm the viscose fibres in this garment are from green shirt rated producers.

The fibres used in this blend are renewable and biodegradable.

Maker

This garment was designed in Melbourne by the ELK team and made by Tongxiang Jimmy Fashions in China. Jimmy has worked with us since 2010 making both woven and knitted apparel. Jimmy is actively working with us to make workplace improvements to ensure the factory is safe and compliant.  

The factory is signed up to Sedex, and undertakes regular SMETA social compliance audits. 

Size and Fit

This dress has a slightly oversized fit, so those who prefer a neater fit may choose to go down a size. Handy bra keepers on the inside help to maintain the voluminous shape and flattering proportions. The belt can be used to cinch in the waist.

All garments are measured flat (not on body) and then doubled (except the length) to calculate the total circumference. To work out what size will suit you best, flat measure an item that fits you well and use this as a guide. Please contact us if you have any questions or need more information.
