The Kers Dress is a dramatic, statement, printed dress which drapes beautifully across the body. This maxi length design features a flattering V-neck, front wrap with button closure, slight gathers on the bodice, functional side pockets and a clever inverted pleat at the back for added comfort. The smooth fabric and volume in the skirt makes for a dramatic, flowing look moving as you do. Thanks to the striking print, this dress looks great when styled with a classic sneaker, or can be given a more urban edge with an ankle boot, like our Kort Ankle Boot.

This textured fabric has a soft drape, with a lightweight finish.

LENZING™ ECOVERO™ and TENCEL™ Lyocell fibres are derived from sustainable wood and pulp, coming from certified and controlled sources.

TENCEL™ Lyocell fibres have gained a commendable reputation for their environmentally responsible, closed loop production process, which transforms wood pulp into cellulosic fibres with high resource efficiency and low environmental impact. This solvent-spinning process recycles process water and reuses the solvent at a recovery rate of more than 99%.

LENZING™ ECOVERO™ fibres have been certified with the EU Ecolabel for textile products (license no. AT/016/001) as meeting high environmental standards throughout their life cycle: from raw material extraction to production, distribution and disposal. The manufacturing of LENZING™ ECOVERO™ branded viscose fibres generates up to 50% lower emissions and water impact compared to generic viscose. According to Higg MSI™ tools, CO2 emissions and fossil resource use are approximately half that of the industry average.

A special manufacturing system enables LENZING™ ECOVERO™ branded viscose fibres and TENCEL™ Lyocell to be identified in the final product, even after long textile processing and conversion steps through the value chain.

The fibres used in this blend are renewable and biodegradable.

Maker

This garment was designed in Melbourne by the ELK team and made by Tongxiang Jimmy Fashions in China. Jimmy has worked with us since 2010 making both woven and knitted apparel. Jimmy is actively working with us to make workplace improvements to ensure the factory is safe, ethical and sustainable.

The factory is signed up to Sedex, and undertakes regular SMETA social compliance audits.   

Size and Fit

This long dress has a V-shaped neckline and an inverted pleat at the back for added comfort. We have gone to great lengths to ensure the wrap front and v neck sits well to ensure modesty and comfort. The key fit points are in the bust and waist first and foremost so please refer to these measurements to ensure best fit. Larger busts and waists may consider going up a size and likewise smaller frames could go down a size. The simple hem also allows for easy alternation if the length is too long. One of the key design features of this garment is the volume of fabric in the skirt.

All garments are measured flat (not on body) and then doubled (except the length) to calculate the total circumference. To work out what size will suit you best, flat measure an item that fits you well and use this as a guide. Please contact us if you have any questions or need more information.

Please note, this dress has an inverted pleat at the back that opens up when needed to allow for movement and larger bust sizes. The cross over front has a hook and eye which can be adjusted depending on bust size and the waist is partially elasticated at the back for comfort and movement.
