The Catja Dress is a wardrobe hero with ample versatility, packed with subtle details. The longer length silhouette (designed to finish mid-shin) allows for a pronounced, draped fit with an asymmetric waist seam detail and rollable sleeves for added functionality. A true transeasonal dress, wear it with the Vikran Sneaker for a casual look or dress up with a leather jacket and boots for a tougher, urban outfit. This style contains 100% TENCEL™ Lyocell - an environmentally responsible, light and breathable fabric which drapes beautifully.

Material

100% TENCEL™ Lyocell

This garment contains 100% TENCEL™ Lyocell fibres. The fabric has a smooth, fluid drape and is durable, naturally soft, smooth to the touch and comfortable to wear. TENCEL™ Lyocell fibres are derived from sustainable wood sources – sustainably managed forests.

TENCEL™ Lyocell fibres have gained a commendable reputation for their environmentally responsible, closed loop production process, which transforms wood pulp into cellulosic fibres with high resource efficiency and low environmental impact. This solvent-spinning process recycles process water and reuses the solvent at a recovery rate of more than 99%.

Maker

This garment was designed in Melbourne by the ELK team and made by Tongxiang Jimmy Fashions in China. Jimmy has worked with us since 2010 making both woven and knitted apparel. Jimmy is actively working with us to make workplace improvements to ensure the factory is safe, ethical and sustainable. We visit Jimmy at least twice a year and he visits our team in Melbourne annually. 

The factory is signed up to Sedex, and undertakes regular SMETA social compliance audits. 

Size and Fit

This dress combines a classic, flattering silhouette with subtly directional details. The longer length is great for draping and layering (designed to finish mid-shin), and the waist seam has an asymmetric detail at the back as a design feature. The sleeves can be rolled up for styling versatility, and the light weight of the fabric makes it perfect for layering.
